Vertical installation of a GHP (geothermal heat pump, ground source heat pump) is optimal in situations where homeowners are pressed for space. We recently completed a project outside of Portland (Hillsboro, OR) where the only area to fit the heat exchanger was a backyard with very limited access nestled next to a green belt.
Geonomic Developments designed a plan to fit a trailer mounted rotary drill in between 2 trees entering the backyard. The plan was a success! The homeowners are now comfortably enjoying the benefits of GHPs. See a picture of the entry. It is important to note that the owner’s backyard was completely restored.
A geothermal heat pump can be installed under almost any circumstance. Geothermal heat pumps (GHPs) use the only renewable energy resource that is available onsite, at every commercial and residential building no matter the size. These systems are not only environmentally friendly; they are cost effective and highly energy efficient. GHPs are the perfect solution for anyone interested in living more sustainably and economically. Whether building your dream green home or just looking to reduce your monthly heating and cooling bills, Geonomic Developments have the system for you.
